Slider zipper
Also known as: slider zip, slider closure, sliding zipper, slider reclosable zipper
A slider zipper is a reclosable track opened and closed by a plastic slider, easier to use than a press-to-close zipper.
A slider zipper is a reclosable track fitted with a small plastic slider. Pulling the slider one way opens the pouch and pulling it back closes it, so users do not need to line up and press the profiles by hand as with a standard press-to-close zipper.

Typical applications
Large pet food bags, frozen foods, cheese and sliced meats, premium coffee and nuts, and garden or DIY products. It is most often seen on flat-bottom pouches, quad-seal bags and larger stand-up pouches.
Considerations
Slider zippers cost noticeably more than standard zippers and add bulk at the top of the pouch, which can affect case packing and automatic bag feeding. Some designs are filled from the bottom and sealed there. Ask about end stops, tamper evidence and, for recyclable packs, whether the slider and track can match the pouch polymer.
