In digital printing the artwork goes straight from the file onto the film. With no plates or cylinders to prepare, as flexo and rotogravure require, the first order costs less and production starts much sooner.
When to choose digital
- Launching a new product: Test it in the market without large stock risk.
- Many variants: Print different designs for flavours or variants in a single order.
- Seasonal and campaign packs: Produce short-lived designs in small quantities.
- Frequent artwork changes: Skip the plate cost for every new version.
When to choose flexo or rotogravure
