Flat Bottom Pouch FAQ

What is the difference between a flat bottom pouch and a doypack?

A flat bottom pouch has a fully flat, box-like base and side gussets, so it keeps its shape better at larger fill weights and gives you five printable panels. A doypack stands on a single bottom gusset and is the more economical format.

Which flat bottom size fits 1 kg of coffee?

In our standard sizes, the 140 × 360 mm flat bottom pouch with a 50 mm gusset is the 1 kg coffee size; 115 × 215 mm suits 250 g and 125 × 270 mm suits 500 g of coffee.

Can a flat bottom coffee bag have a valve?

Yes, a one-way degassing valve can be added so gas from freshly roasted coffee escapes without letting air in. A tear notch is also available.

How many sides of a flat bottom pouch can be printed?

Five: the front, the back, both side gussets and the base. The gussets give extra room for product and brand information.

What products is a flat bottom pouch good for?

It is a popular choice for coffee, dry pet food, pasta and rice, where larger packs need a strong shelf presence.
